These General Terms and Conditions govern the entirety of the contractual relationship between the Arcane Ludique workshop and its Customers. By confirming an order, the Customer accepts them without reservation.

1. Company Identity and Customer Service
Our workshop is first and foremost a place of production. For any question relating to an order or a product, we invite you to contact us exclusively in writing at contact@arcane-ludique.ch. We commit to responding within 48 working hours.
2. Characteristics of Handcrafted Products
2.1. The Uniqueness of Wood
All our articles are joinery pieces designed and made by hand in our Geneva workshop. Wood is a noble and living material. Photographs on the website are not contractually binding regarding grain pattern and exact shade. Each piece has its own “fingerprint”. These nuances are in no way a conformity defect.
2.2. Engraving and Personalisation
Any digital mock-ups provided before production are indicative. Laser engraving burns the wood; the final result depends on the density and resin content of the board used. The Customer accepts these slight artistic variations inherent to the process.
3. Availability and Order Process
3.1. Stock Management
Our creations range between small series and unique pieces. In the event of a stock shortage of a specific wood species after order confirmation, Arcane Ludique will notify the Customer within 3 working days to propose a new timeframe, an equivalent wood species, or a full refund.
3.2. Confirmation
The order is only considered final after full payment has been received.
4. Production and Shipping Lead Times
4.1. The Time of Craftsmanship
Unlike industry, we work to order. Lead times include: wood selection, cutting, engraving, manual sanding, oil/varnish application, drying time and final quality control.
4.2. Possible Delays
A reasonable delay shall not give rise to cancellation or damages. If the delay exceeds 30 days beyond the announced date, the Customer may request cancellation and refund.
5. Prices and Taxation
5.1. Displayed Prices
Prices are in Swiss Francs (CHF). As a VAT-registered company, prices include VAT at the current rate (currently 8.1%) for deliveries within Switzerland.
5.2. International Orders
For customers outside Switzerland, the invoice may be issued excluding taxes. The total price paid covers only the product and its transport, never the taxes of the destination country.
6. Payments and Security
Payment is made at the time of order. All transactions are secured by SSL protocol via our banking service providers. Arcane Ludique does not store any banking data on its servers.
7. Delivery, Export and Customs
7.1. Transfer of Risk
Products travel at Arcane Ludique's risk until they are handed over to the carrier. Once the parcel is handed over, the Customer receives a tracking number.
7.2. Customs and Import
For all deliveries outside Switzerland, the Customer acts as the official importer. Customs duties, import taxes and local VAT may be charged on arrival. These charges are outside the responsibility of Arcane Ludique.
8. Receipt and Transport Disputes
The Customer must inspect the condition of the packaging and contents upon delivery. Any damage must be reported to Arcane Ludique by email with photos within 48 hours of receipt.
9. Right of Return and Withdrawal
9.1. Exclusion for Custom Items
The right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to the Customer's specifications or clearly personalised. These sales are firm and final.
9.2. Returns of Standard Products
For standard accessories without personalisation, the Customer has 7 calendar days after receipt to request a return. The product must be intact, never used, and returned in its original packaging. Return costs are the Customer's sole responsibility.
10. Guarantee and Wood Care
10.1. Legal Guarantee
Arcane Ludique guarantees its products against manufacturing defects for 2 years.
10.2. Specific Exclusions
The guarantee does not cover deformations or discolouration caused by storage in excessively dry or humid conditions, direct sun or heat source exposure, shocks, falls or abnormal use.
11. Intellectual Property
All elements of the website are the exclusive property of Arcane Ludique. Any reproduction is prohibited. For personalised engravings, the Customer certifies holding the intellectual property rights to any supplied visuals.
12. Personal Data Protection
Arcane Ludique respects the Customer's privacy in accordance with the new Data Protection Act (nDPA). Collected information is never sold to third parties.
13. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
All commercial relations are governed exclusively by Swiss law. In the event of a dispute, the exclusive jurisdiction lies with the competent Courts of the Canton of Geneva.
